Our Track Record
Bishop+Associates is in a class of its own. There are no other trauma consulting firms that have the same level of expertise and experience in trauma center development, evaluation, and finance. Attached is a copy of the B+A Sole Source Qualification Statement.
In 2024, B+A celebrated its 40th anniversary. Over the past four decades, our firm has seen major changes in trauma center operations, verification, and success, as well as challenges and opportunities related to trauma finance.
In the early 1990s, B+A conducted the first Trauma Center Economic Study (TCES) in collaboration with the American Association with the Surgery of Trauma (AAST) and with financial support from State Farm Insurance. Survey responses were received from 313 trauma centers in 48 states, with 30% reporting on their financial performance (as described above). The TCES was published in the Journal of Trauma in 1994. A copy of the article can be downloaded here.
B+A conducted a follow-up TCES in 2004 using aggregated financial data from trauma center clients, a survey of state trauma systems, and the firm’s experience working with trauma centers for 20 years. A copy of the report can be downloaded here.
