EMS Triage Criteria to Reflect New Trauma Center in a Trauma System
B+A recently completed a trauma system assessment in Santa Barbara County, California. Working side-by-side with the Santa Barbara County EMS Agency, its two trauma centers, and EMS stakeholders, B+A conducted a thorough assessment of the current trauma system and made recommendations for updates to EMS triage criteria to reflect national best practice standards.

Revisions to EMS policy were made in collaboration with EMS providers and the trauma destination process was revised shortly after the conclusion of the project.
